Bappi Lahiri est un directeur musical né en 1952 à Kolkata qui débuta sa carrière en 1980. Il a composé des dizaines de B.O.F principalement pour Bollywood mais aussi quelques -unes pour l'industrie cinématographique d'Andhra Pradesh, du Bengale, du Kerala et du Karnataka. Il a popularisé la musique électronique avant tout le monde mais intègre aussi de nombreux instruments traditionnels à ses compositions. Aujourd'hui il est rentré dans l'arène politique sous l'étiquette BJP. Voici quelques-unes de ses compositions :

Bappi Lahiri is a musical director born in Calcutta in 1952 who started his career in 1980. He composed tens and tens of scores for the Bollywood film industry but also a few for the film industry from Andhra Pradesh, bengal, kerala and Karnataka. He has been the first to bring the sound of electronic often mixed with classical instruments. he is also one of the rare music director who often sings his own musics.
