Porbandar est posée le long de la Mer d'Arabie. Elle fut probablement une belle ville à la belle architecture. Certains restes peuvent être observés dans le centre ville, ce qui n'a pas encore été remplacé par des cubes de béton. Quant à la plage et ses plaisirs, tu oublies, à moins de tripper les tours de dromadaires dans le sable brûlant. Proche de la plage, on trouvera aussi un long mur couvert de peintures d'écoliers qui nous rappellent au bon souvenir d'un enfant de la ville, le Mahatma Gandhi, petit homme à la grande volonté qui fit plier le pouvoir britannique dans sa tenue de "fakir". J'aimerai bien savoir ce qu'il pense de la trajectoire indienne actuelle ....

Porbandar is settled along the Arabian sea. It probably was a beautiful city with its beautiful architecture. Some can still be seen in the city, between cubes of cement. About the beach, if you like swimming and playing in the sand, it won't be one of your favorite spot unless you enjoy "cameling" around in the burning sand. Close to the beach you will also find a long wall covered with children's painting recalling us that the Mahatma Gandhi is a local hero that could destabilize the British Raj with its tiny body and its great will. I would love to know what he would think now of the actual Indian path ....
